A very handsome traditional whole and split cane landing net, hand built by Dave Austin, for radio broadcaster Martin James OBE. Indian ink inscription on the handle reads: 'Traditional Whole Cane And Built Cane Landing Net. Made August 2011. For Martin James. By Dave Austin. 7' two-piece whole cane handle with dark green silk whippings and quality brass fittings and rubber end button. Alloy spreader block. Split cane net arms with Martin James inscribed on both. Arms measure approx 34" and drawstring measures approx 33".  Looks unused!
